As finals come to an end, I’m eager to shift my focus and take my business to the next level. However, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m missing a clear direction or a unique niche to truly set me apart. People constantly tell me my desserts taste AND look amazing, so what’s the issue? Why does it feel like I’ve had this business for years without seeing the growth I’m striving for? I want to focus more on corporate events, incorporating logos into my desserts, and also cater to the fitness crowd with my protein-packed treats. I know I need to improve my marketing—my goal is to see my name on TV and in those baking magazines you spot while waiting at the grocery store checkout. Ultimately, I want my desserts to lift people up on their toughest days and help them celebrate their victories on the best ones. This business is more than just desserts at an event; it’s my passion, and it’s become a major part of who I am. I can’t wait to see how far I can take it.
